It brings Nebula's IR35 assessment engine to Broadbench's audience of UK contractors and self-employed professionals, alongside Broadbench's existing mortgage and protection expertise.

What the IR35 Check does
The IR35 Check reads your engagement contract and analyses it against all five key IR35 tests under the off-payroll working rules (Chapter 10, ITEPA 2003) — not a single question. It returns a score from 0–100 and an Inside or Outside IR35 verdict, backed by a factor-by-factor audit trail that shows the contract evidence behind each test, and a downloadable audit document intended to be defensible in an HMRC enquiry.
The five tests it checks
- Substitution — whether you can send a genuine substitute to do the work.
- Mutuality of obligation — whether the client must offer work and you must accept it.
- Control — how much the client directs how, when and where you work.
- Financial risk — whether you put your own money at risk in delivering the work.
- Part & parcel / integration — whether you are embedded in the client's organisation.
